Tariffs won’t protect

The Trump administration would like us to believe that tariffs will protect workers and U.S. businesses. Not so.

They will cut into corporate profits somewhat, but mostly they are a tax on consumer goods. As the costs of goods increase, everyone will have to pay more. Then there will be a slowdown in protection as some won’t be able to afford the new prices. This is what happens when you need revenue but have cut taxes on the wealthy without being able to raise taxes elsewhere. Another shell game by the con artist in chief.
