Ashland City Band

The 70-piece Ashland City Band, under the direction of Don Bieghler, will present a free hour-long concert at the Butler Band Shell in Lithia Park, Ashland.

This week's performance on Thursday, Aug. 14, is the final concert of the season. It will feature pre-concert entertainment by the Licorice and Chrome Clarinet Choir at 6:40 p.m.

The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. and will include:

"The Star Spangled Banner" arranged by John Philip Sousa; Diane Hedges, vocalist

"Block M March" by Jerry Bilik

"Tribute to Rudy Weideroff" arranged by Gunther Schuller; Vicki Purslow, alto saxophone; Cynthia Hutton, conductor
