Touring behind its newest album, “Life in the City,” this Brooklyn-based, nine-piece ensemble will present its explosion of funk, alternative, rock, and R&B at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5, at the Historic Ashland Armory, 208 Oak St. Progressive soul, rock and R&B artists Object Heavy will open the show. Tickets are $25 in advance and can be purchased at Immortal Spirits in Medford, Music Coop in Ashland, or at liveatthearmory.com. Tickets will be $30 the day of the show.

The Choir of Man

This ensemble of nine will present boisterous pub songs and foot-stomping dance at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, at the Craterian Theater, 23 S. Central Ave., Medford. The brainchild of Nic Doodson and Andrew Kay, the 90-minute show promises to have the audience dancing in the aisles.
