Harvest Show of Fine Woodworking

The Siskiyou Woodcraft Guild hosts its 39th annual exhibit of furniture, boxes, carving and turned bowls Friday through Sunday, Nov. 23-25, at The Hay-Patton Rehearsal Center at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, 30 S. First St., Ashland. This is a juried show, and the artists will be on hand to discuss their work. Hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. ‘Every Christmas Story Ever Told (And Then Some)’

Look for live music, holiday stories, carols, tales of strange Christmas traditions and more in this madcap holiday romp by Michael Carleton, Jim FitzGerald and John K. Alvarez. Curtain is at 8 p.m. every night but Tuesdays through Dec. 31 at Oregon Cabaret Theatre, First and Hargadine streets, Ashland. Matinees are set for 1 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Tickets are $39, or $25 for bistro seating, and can be purchased at oregoncabaret.com or by calling 541-488-2902. Reservations are required for pre-show dinner and brunch at the theater. Appetizers, beverages and desserts are available without reservations.

Rogue Valley Railroad and Toy Railroad Show

The 41st annual show will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 25, in Seven Feathers Event Center at the Expo, 1 Peninger Road, Central Point. Look for layouts of model trains, toy trains, rides on trains and historically real full-sized trains, along with a swap meet, vendors and a raffle. Admission is $5, $1 for ages 6 through 12, and free for 5 and younger. Proceeds benefit the Medford Railroad Park.

Nutcracker Ballet

Medford Civic Ballet and the Dance Arts Academy, directed by Mary Cowden Snyder, will present their “Victorian Nutcracker Ballet” at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, and 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 25, at North Medford High School, 1900 N. Keene Way Drive. Tickets are $10, $8 for seniors, $5 for children, and can be purchased from 2 to 6 p.m. weekdays and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays at Medford Dance Arts Center, 9 Hawthorne St. Tickets also will be available at the door one hour before each show. Jacksonville Victorian Christmas

Jacksonville’s traditional Victorian Christmas begins with caroling and a tree-lighting ceremony at 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, and continues the first three weekends in December. The town will be festooned in natural greenery and white lights to evoke Christmases past. Look for photo opportunities with Father Christmas, trolley rides, strolling carolers — some in vintage costume, and complimentary hot cider.
