Bud and Lou meet Bogie and Bacall

A couple of 1940s movie classics will be featured this Saturday night as part of the Christian Church of Ashland's Old Time Movie Night series. Bud Abbott and Lou Costello start off the evening with the 1942 comedy classic, "Who Done It?" Bud and Lou play a couple of dumb soda jerks who get involved in a murder mystery at a big city radio station.

"Who Done It?" plays at 6:30 p.m. Saturday.

The second feature stars Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall in "Dark Passage." Produced by Warner Brothers in 1947, Bogart plays a man convicted of murdering his wife who escapes from prison and undergoes plastic surgery in order to prove his innocence. Bacall helps him hide from the police.

Agnes Moorehead is brilliant in a co-starring role as a psycho ex-girl friend. "Dark Passage" plays at 8 p.m. Saturday.

An old time intermission reel featuring classic snack bar ads will also be featured between films. The box office opens at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Christian Church of Ashland, located on the corner of Second and B streets in Ashland. Admission is free. Donations accepted, but not required.
