Halloween celebrations

Masquerade and Kids Arcade: Halloween activities for the whole family will be available at the Masquerade and Kids Arcade event from 9 p.m. to 12 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, at the Underground Marketplace, 33 N. Third St., Ashland. The evening includes a dance and food hall for adults 18 and older, a bar for ages 21 and older and a kids arcade. Admission is $10 for singles, $16 for couples and $25 for families with up to three children. Additional children are $1 each. Call 488-5361.

Ashland Elks Haunted House: The Ashland Elks Lodge will host its Creepy Carnival haunted house for children 14 and under from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday, Oct. 29-30, and from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, at the lodge, 255 E. Haunted House: The Darkwing Manor and Morguetorium Museum will open its doors to the public for a charity haunted house and grounds event from 6 to 9:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Oct. 30-31, at 4192 Coleman Creek Road, Phoenix. Proceeds will benefit the Children's Advocacy Center in Medford. Donations of $5 per person are appreciated. This event is not recommended for children under 8 years old. See www.darkwing-manor.com.

ghost tour: Follow Ashland High School senior Carly Cottle and members of the Southern Oregon University Paranormal Club at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30, for a ghost tour of the SOU campus, 1250 Siskiyou Blvd., Ashland. Monster dash: The Kiwanis Club of Ashland and the Ashland Schools Foundation will host a Monster Dash Halloween Fun Run on Saturday, Oct. 31. The run will begin at 2 p.m. in Lithia Park in Ashland. There will be a 5-kilometer run and a 1-mile fun run and and walk. Costumes are encouraged. Prizes will be awarded to runners by age group and to individuals and groups with the best costume. Pre-registration is $20 for adults and $10 for children 11 and younger. Registration is $25 for adults on the day of the race. A limited number of Monster Dash T-shirts will be available for $7 at the race. Proceeds will support programs in Ashland public schools. Halloween Parade: Ashland's annual Halloween Parade will wind its way down East Main Street from 3:15 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, in downtown Ashland. The parade will start at the Ashland library and end at the Ashland Plaza. Downtown merchants will hand out candy during the parade. Call 482-3486.

Halloween Party: The Rogue Valley Metaphysical Library will host its fifth annual Come As You Are Halloween Party from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, at 258 A St., Suite 2, Ashland.
