Oregon Cabaret seeks actors and sound technician

Oregon Cabaret Theatre is holding auditions for its holiday production of Ali Baba. Auditions start at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 17.

Needed are excellent comic actors who are also strong singers with good movement skills.

Applicants must be available for daytime rehearsals Oct. 22 - Nov. 3, afternoons and evenings Nov. 5-14. Performances will be at 8 p.m. most evenings as well as Sunday matinees Nov. 12 - Dec. 31.

The theatre also is looking for qualified applicants for the position of resident sound technician/designer. The sound technician provides board operation and ongoing technical support, including maintenance of wireless microphones and sound equipment. Sound tech involves five to six evenings per week, plus Sunday matinees for two to three hours. This person may also act as sound designer for some shows in the season.
