Camelot Theatre will hold auditions for its 2016 season of plays and musicals from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, at the theater, 101 Talent Ave., Talent. Auditions are by appointment only.
The semi-professional theater will be auditioning actors of all ages, races and ethnicities for its plays and musicals. The season includes:
"Solomon’s Blade," Feb. 3-28;
"Sweet Charity," March 16-April 17;
"Inherit the Wind," April 27-May 29;
"La Cage aux Folles," June 22-July 31;
"Chess: The Musical," Aug. 31-Oct. 2;
"I Ought to Be in Pictures," Oct. 12-Nov. 6;
"South Pacific," Nov. 30-Jan. 8.
Camelot is also specifically looking to cast Asian-American or Pacific Islander singers for a host of roles in "South Pacific," including Bloody Mary, 30 to 60 years old; Henry, 20-60; Liat, 16-25; and Jerome and Ngana, 6-10.
A 25- to 45-year-old African-American male singer is needed for the role of Clark Garrison in "Soloman's Blade."
Interested actors should call 541-535-5250 to schedule an appointment. They should bring a current picture and a resume, prepare a memorized monologue one- to two-minutes long, and prepare a song with sheet music in their key (no karaoke, recording or a cappella).
