Raiders No. 2 in latest poll

After an impressive team victory at last Saturday's Charles Bowles Invitational, the Southern Oregon men's cross country team has landed at No. 2 in this week's NAIA Top 25 poll.

The Raiders jumped from sixth to second and received three first-place votes. The No. 2 ranking is the highest in school history. The Raiders were ranked fourth in the final regular season poll last year and finished fourth at the NAIA Championships.

Malone (Ohio) remains first in the men's Top 25 poll, receiving the other 20 first-place votes. Overall Malone received 648 votes and SOU had 633.

The top five consists of Malone, SOU, Embry-Riddle, Concordia (Neb.) and British Columbia.

SOU defeated Embry-Riddle and British Columbia at last week's Bowles Invitational.

The Southern Oregon women also got in the mix this week, receiving one vote to get in the receiving votes category for the first time in two years.
