SOU softball to play tripleheader Monday at NCU following postponement

EUGENE — Southern Oregon’s softball series at Northwest Christian has been condensed to a tripleheader, to be played starting at 11 a.m. Monday, due to rain and poor conditions at the Beacons’ home field.
The 14th-ranked Raiders (29-9 overall, 12-3 Cascade Conference) and last-place Beacons (5-27, 2-13) were originally slated to play a doubleheader on Friday and two more on Saturday before the forecast forced the series to be postponed until Sunday and Monday. On Sunday, NCU’s James Park was deemed unplayable.
SOU and NCU will not make up the fourth game of the set, which is always a nonleague counter.
The Raiders will also host a four-game series next week against No. 24 Oregon Tech, starting doubleheaders at 2 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. Saturday.
