9.2 Pounds of Suspected Fentanyl Powder Found During a Search at a Douglas County Traffic Stop
DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ore. — More than nine pounds of drugs, suspected to be fentanyl powder, was found by Oregon State Police (OSP) during a traffic stop in Douglas County on Wednesday. A state trooper arrested two people.
A trooper discovered the powder after he stopped a vehicle traveling north on the I-5 for traffic violations. According to the OSP, the trooper detected signs of criminal activity and searched the vehicle.
The occupants consented to the search, and the trooper uncovered 9.2 pounds of drugs suspected to be fentanyl powder.
Two people from Oakland, Johana Gonzalez (27) and Bayron Enamorado Manueles (26), were arrested on the scene. The two are now facing possession and delivery of fentanyl charges.
The OSP confirmed that the case is under investigation.
