250 Free Tokens Available As Medford Downtown Dollars Program Launches
MEDFORD, Ore. — A new initiative has been launched to support local businesses and encourage community engagement in downtown Medford. The Downtown Medford Association’s Downtown Dollars Program begins on December 7 at the Winter Lights Festival.
Part of the Downtown Medford Association’s mission to foster a thriving downtown community, the Downtown Dollar program incentivizes spending at local shops while seeking to strengthen the economy in downtown Medford.
The unique offerings of Medford’s downtown merchants and the Downtown Dollar tokens, each worth $5, can be redeemed at participating businesses.
Medford Downtown Dollars Details
As foot traffic is driven to local shops, the initiative hopes to enhance connections between merchants and the community.
The 250 $5 Downtown Dollars will be distributed free of charge during the festival. Residents and visitors are encouraged to use the opportunity to explore Medford’s downtown offerings. The details of the Downtown Dollar program are:
To get tokens: Visitors to the Winter Lights Festival can collect $5 Downtown Dollar tokens.
To buy tokens: Community members and organizations can contact the Downtown Medford Association to buy Downtown Dollar tokens.
To spend tokens: Tokens can’t be exchanged for cash or change. They can be used for purchases of $5 or more at participating businesses.
