Fred Reyes, the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Rogue Valley Operations Director, said their kitchen, where they serve 5,000 meals a month, is over 20 years old.
The kitchen desperately needs an upgrade, and the nonprofit will use the funding for new countertops, flooring, cupboards, and a fresh coat of paint. The renovation work is planned for next August.
The OCF funding statewide totals $5.8 million over 248 grants. Dee Anne Everson, OCF Board Member and United Way of Jackson County CEO and Executive Director, confirmed, “The goal is to support what’s working.”
New 2025 Spring Cycle of Community Grants applications are open but must be filed before January 14. The application can be found here.
