Oregon State Beavers vs Air Force Falcons Game Highlights
Beavers’ starting quarterback, Ben Gulbranson, didn’t make the trip due to an undisclosed injury, putting Gevani McCoy in the starting lineup.
But McCoy didn’t last long either, leaving early in the game as replacement Gabarri Johnson stepped in for most of the remainder of the game. There were some highlights despite the disappointing results for Oregon. These included:
- OSU was limited to nine first downs, crossing midfield three times, but their drives ended on an interception, a fourth-down sack, and a turnover on downs at the Air Force 28.
- Quarterback Quentin Hayes had 194 total yards and two rushing touchdowns, completing all five of his pass attempts for 110 yards and adding 84 yards rushing. Hayes scored on a 4-yard run in the first quarter, and his 1-yard TD in the second quarter capped an eight-play, 97-yard drive.
- For the Beavers, Johnson finished with 106 yards passing and 22 rushing yards, and wide receiver Trent Walker caught three passes for 36 yards.
- The Beavers fell behind early in the game, and the Air Force Falcons possessed the ball for over 41 minutes, leaving the Beavers little hope of recovery.
- Dylan Carson and Owen Allen added short touchdown runs in the fourth quarter, and by the end, Air Force had a 409-175 advantage in total yards.
- The Falcons improved to 3-7.
