Ashland Police Prioritize Safety At Friday’s Festival Of Light

ASHLAND, Ore. — The 32nd Ashland Festival of Light parade begins at 5 p.m. on Friday, and the Ashland Police have issued an advisory about safety and details of road closures. Several magical events are taking place during the festival.

 

Ashland Festival of Light Parade Details

The Ashland Police Department confirmed that East Main Street between Gresham and Water Streets will be closed from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday while Lithia Way will accommodate two-way traffic during the Annual Festival of Light event.

From 3 p.m., all vehicles parked within the closed area downtown will be towed, but the areas will be clearly marked ahead of time.

Santa’s procession starts at 5 p.m. from the Library, but there are other events before and after the procession, including the Grand Illumination on the Historic Downtown Plaza. The kick-off celebration is scheduled for 4 p.m. with A&M Brass on Brickroom Balcony, and the light will attract locals and visitors until the new year.

Ashland Police indicated that the safety of those who attend this event is their top priority.
