Weather Affects Copperfield Fire

Containment across the Copperfield fire has increased to 86% and today’s weather forecast predicts continued cooling temperatures and lighter winds which will help crews fighting the fire.

Mop-up efforts are ongoing and crews will continue to push deeper into the black areas surrounding the fire perimeter.

North of the fire, thunderstorms produced several fire starts. Crews from the Copperfield fire are being diverted to help with the new fires. Due to limited resources across the state because of the number of wildfires, the current resources on site will also start transitioning to other fires across Oregon.

This morning, evacuation levels were reduced and you can find the latest information regarding your zone here.
