Dogs Believed to Belong to Murdered Oregon Woman, Susan Lane-Fournier Have Been Found Dead
Two dead dogs found by deputies of the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office on Saturday are believed to have been owned by Susan Lane-Fournier (61), whose body was found near Welches after a four-day search.
Michel Fournier Court Appearance Delayed
Meanwhile, the court appearance of her estranged husband, Michel Fournier (71), was delayed this morning because of a video system error.
Michel Fournier, who is charged with second-degree murder, has refused a court-appointed attorney. He is expected to appear in court later this afternoon. He has been held in the Clackamas County Jail without bail since his arrest
Susan Lane-Fournier Disappeared Two Weeks After Filing for a Divorce
Lane-Fournier and her two dogs disappeared on November 22, three weeks after she had filed for a divorce from her husband, Michel Fournier.
Susan Lane-Fournier had instituted divorce proceedings on October 31, citing irreconcilable differences. Three weeks later, she and her two dogs disappeared.
Her disappearance resulted in a four-day multi-agency search after her truck was found parked near the Mount Hood National Forest.
Fournier was arrested on November 29, shortly after the body of his wife was found near Highway 26 and East Miller Road, Welches.
The police have not revealed the cause of death of either Susan Lane-Fournier or her two pets.
