Eugene Police Arrest Two Teenagers Shooting at Cars With Lifelike Airsoft Gun

EUGENE, Ore. — Responding to reports of teenage boys shooting at passing cars passing a downtown parking garage on Tuesday just before 9:30 a.m., Eugene Police Department (EPD) officers arrested the pair.
They found a realistic-looking airsoft gun with an extended magazine and a spring-loaded knife.
The teenagers, aged 13 and 14 and dressed in black, allegedly shot at passing vehicles from the fourth level of a parking garage on Oak Street.
As multiple officers, detectives, and a K9 arrived, the two fled the scene but were stopped by police several blocks away. Despite initially resisting officers, both boys were arrested and transported to the John Serbu Youth Campus.
The lifelike weapon and knife were in the possession of the 13-year-old boy, who is facing a charge of carrying a concealed weapon, second-degree criminal trespass, second-degree disorderly conduct, and third-degree escape.
The other boy, a 14-year-old, faces a charge of second-degree disorderly conduct, third-degree escape, and second-degree criminal trespass, according to the EPD.
