Fallout Season 2 Filming Set To Start Next Year
Coming off the back of the massive views during the first season, ‘Fallout’ is now slated for a second one. At New York Comic-Con 2024, Fallout and Deadpool actress Leslie Uggams confirmed that Fallout season 2 will start filming in November 2024.

One of Bethesda’s most prolific franchises, ‘Fallout,’ which follows the recent controversial MMO-styled first-person shooter game in the series, Fallout 76, was released as a TV series on Amazon Prime with huge success.
After streaming, the franchise’s stats rose drastically, upping the player rate for most of the games in the series, including Fallout 4, with a 7,500% increase in sales.
After Bethesda released the next-gen update for Fallout 4, Bethesda director Todd Howard said in an interview with Variety that Fallout 76’s player base reached 20 million players following the success of the TV series.
Howard predicted a 4 to 6 times increase in daily players and said, “It is beyond anything I’ve ever seen in my 30 years of doing this.”
Recently, Bethesda released the next-gen update for Fallout 4. Howard said the series was 15 years in the making but that games take a good five years or so from planning to production.
He confirmed that Bethesda has plans for future games in this series, but didn’t divulge any details.
Fallout Season 1 Success Story
Fallout Season 1 is listed by Amazon as as one of its top three watched shows of all time, and an independent report indicates Fallout Season 1 from April 12 to April 18 this year had a massive 5 million views and 2.5 billion minutes watched in the show’s first full week on Prime Video.
The numbers for Fallout are impressive which means it came as no surprise to hear that Fallout season 2 will follow. While Fallout eclipses everything else from Netflix and Apple TV+, Netflix’s Unlocked ranks at number 2 for the same period, but at a substantially lower 793 million minutes watched.
On Steam, the games Fallout 76 and Fallout 3 hit all-time peak concurrent player counts over a recent weekend and Fallout 4 is still getting high plays almost nine years after its release.
Amazon submitted over two dozen nominations to the Emmy’s for Fallout season 1, including best actor and actress for Walton Goggins and Ella Purnell, and also in the outstanding drama category.
The release date for ‘Fallout” season 2 isn’t available yet but is likely to air in 2025 or 2026.
