Former Dutch Bros Grants Pass HQ Earmarked As An Early Education Center

GRANTS PASS, Ore. — Following the recent donation of their Grants headquarters building the Children’s Museum of Southern Oregon, the organization has indicated that the building will be transformed into an Early Education Center.

Dutch Bros HQ Donated To Children’s Museum

Earlier this year, Dutch Bros HQ donated their former HQ in Grants Pass to a preschool that operates a Children’s Museum.

The generous donation- valued at $2.7 million, will help address the critical shortage of educational facilities in Josephine County by transforming the building into an early childhood education center and children’s museum.

As only a small percentage of families have access to quality preschool programs, the initiative will have a positive lasting effect.

The Oregon Center for Creative Learning (OCCL) plans to expand on what they already do in Josephine County. The building will offer a preschool and childcare incorporating several family resources.

Operating the Children’s Museum of Southern Oregon and eight Ivy School preschool campuses across the region, the center provides vital early learning opportunities. It aims to shape a brighter future for the community.

The new facility will offer more opportunities for children to learn. Executive Director Sunny Spicer said, “This is a critical need for our whole region.”

New Preschool In Grants Pass

While fundraising efforts are getting off the ground, OCCL hopes to have the preschool up and running by the next school year.

The community is eagerly anticipating the unveiling of the new preschool, which will support young families and integrate family resources. Both the Children’s Museum of Southern Oregon and OCCL are committed to addressing the urgent need for early education in Josephine County.

Spicer confirmed the importance of the development to the Grants Pass area. She said childcare is a critical piece of workforce development and reminded the community that the donation emanated from Dutch Bros wanting to do more for the families in the community.

OCCL plans ongoing fundraising efforts to ensure that families in Josephine County have access to crucial early childhood education that sets the foundation for lifelong learning.
