Grant Pass Police & DEA Joint Operation Renders Guns, Money, Drugs, And 16 Arrests

GRANTS PASS, Ore. — A collaboration between the Grants Pass Police Department and the U. S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) across Southern Oregon rendered drugs, guns, and money in a joint operation during which sixteen people were arrested, mainly on drug-related crimes.

 

Grants Pass DEA Warrant Arrests

The Grants Pass and DEA operation, combined with efforts from the Oregon State Police, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Illegal Marijuana Enforcement Team, Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, Central Point Police Department, and Rogue Area Drug Enforcement interrupted the flow of narcotics in Southern Oregon.

A suspected group of narcotics dealers has been the subject of a long investigation as they are suspected of coordinating significant drug trafficking in Josephine and Jackson Counties. Officers had obtained warrants through the legal process before taking action.

Sixteen people were arrested during the joint operation and charged with drug and weapon violations.

About 1,000 pounds of processed marijuana, 20 pounds of methamphetamine, ¼ pound of heroin, an ounce of cocaine, over $100,000 cash, nine firearms, and two vehicles were seized as officers acted to enforce warrants based on evidence collected by detectives.
