Grants Pass “Buy-A-Brick” Plaques On Sale For Owl Parking Plaza

GRANTS PASS, Ore. — The Owl Parking Lot on the corner of 5th and H Streets in Grants Pass is undergoing major reconstruction next year. The plan is to convert it to a parking lot and public plaza for community events.

The project’s “Buy-a-Brick” campaign has been launched to give the community the opportunity to record their names for posterity.

Grants Pass “Buy-a-Brick” At Own Parking Plaza

The Grants Pass City Council has launched the “Buy-a-brick’ initiative for community members to buy a brass plaque with their names, that will be embedded in the paving bricks in the patio base of the plaza, near the sidewalks.

Bricks are available before construction starts to community members, civic groups, and businesses in Josephine County. Around 470 bricks are available.

The ‘Buy-a-brick” guidelines are:

  • Text is limited to three lines and 18 characters per line, including spaces between words.
  • Only names can be used, no slogans, quotes, or phrases.
  • The price is $250, payable via mail by check or in person by cash, check, or credit card.
