Grants Pass Police Seek Public’s Help to Identify Easter Sunday Bike Thief Caught on Video

GRANTS PASS, Ore. — A man captured on video on Easter Sunday at around 4:00 pm is accused of stealing a bicycle momentarily left unattended near the intersection of SW H Street and SW 6th Street, Grants Pass, by a 14-year-old.

The police published this video and asked if anyone recognizes him:

 


They also hope to help the teenager recover his bicycle before it’s parted out or repainted. It is a charcoal-colored Specialized Rock Hopper Expert with light gray lettering.

    What a jerk! I hope he’s caught and actually prosecuted with a penalty that will make him think twice before doing it again. Soft-on-crime policies do not work! Obviously!
