Grants Pass Woman Declared Dead On Scene Of Unexplained Valentine Day Highway 140 Crash

Responding to a single-vehicle crash on Highway 140, near milepost 55, in Lake County on February 14, the Oregon State Police (OSP), assisted by Lake County Search and Rescue and ODOT, initiated an investigation after the driver, Laura Anne Keys (47) of Grants Pass, was declared dead on the scene.

Preliminary investigations indicate that a westbound Nissan Sentra, driven by Keys, left the roadway for reasons that are as yet unknown and rolled down a steep embankment.

The Sentra came to rest on its top, but the highway was not affected during the on-scene investigation.
