Highway 99 Crash Near Central Point Leaves 1 Dead, 3 Injured
JACKSON COUNTY, Ore. — Responding to reports of a vehicle collision on Highway 99 at around 11:40 a.m. on Sunday, November 10 at Ellen Avenue in Jackson County, the Oregon State Police (OSP) discovered one fatality and three injured people at the scene.

OSP’s preliminary investigation indicates that a Ford Windstar, driven by Timothy J. Hunt, 72, of Medford, attempted to make a southbound turn onto Highway 99 from Ellen Avenue but was struck by a northbound Toyota Camry driven by Brian I.
Paramo Zizumbo, 26, also of Medford. One of the Ford passengers, Brian R. Foreman, 76, of Central Point, was ejected from the vehicle and later pronounced dead at the scene.
Hunt, the Ford driver, another passenger, Jeanette I. Cox, 85, of Medford, and the driver of the Toyota, Paramo Zizumbo sustained serious injuries and were all taken to a local hospital. The cause of the collision is unknown and remains under investigation.
Traffic on Highway 99 was affected for about four and a half hours and the roads surrounding the crash were also closed as investigators worked on-site.
The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, Central Point Police Department, Jackson County Fire District 3, and the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) all worked on the scene and OSP’s Collision Reconstruction Unit (CRU) will be dealing with the investigation.
The CRU provides expert documentation and analysis of complex crash scenes, including detailed scene mapping using advanced technology such as unmanned aircraft systems.
