According to a news release from DINT, the narcotics team usually only focuses on high-level cases but will step in for situations with potential for high impact on communities.
DINT says that it had recently received information from several sources about a man called Eric ‘Gimmick’ Ray who lives in a tent at a Roseburg homeless encampment known as ‘The Point’ near the 300 block on Winchester Street.
According to information received, ‘Gimmick’ was regularly selling meth to homeless people living in the encampment.
DINT officers visited ‘Gimmick’ at his tent on Monday and uncovered meth and meth paraphernalia.
