Horror Movie Filmed In Oregon Now On Netflix Following Sundance Splash

Netflix streaming of the Portland-filmed horror movie, “It’s What’s Inside” starts on Friday.

Oregon is gaining fame as a horror movie filming destination. With its diverse landscapes, the top 10 horror movies made in Oregon may have some competition with the recently released Greg Jardin horror movie.

 

“It’s What’s Inside” Steaming On Netflix

Horror, “It’s What’s Inside” is a movie made in Portland about a group of college friends who gather at an estate for a pre-wedding party.

One of the guests arrives with a suitcase that contains a device that gives partygoers an unusual superpower- the ability to change bodies.

Things start to get freaky as desires and grudges combine with long-standing secrets and a living nightmare starts to unfold.

The cast of the movie includes:

  • Brittany O’Grady from ”The White Lotus” fame as Shelby
  • Gavin Leatherwood as Dennis
  • James Morosini as Cyrus
  • David Thompson as Forbes.
  • Alycia Debnam-Carey, known for her role in ”Fear the Walking Dead” as Nikki
  • Devon Terrell as Reuben
  • Nina Bloomgarden as Maya
  • Reina Hardesty as Brooke

 

An executive producer is the Oscar-nominated actor Colman Domingo and the movie was written and directed by Greg Jardin.

“It’s What’s Inside” premiered at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival where it made the news after a late-night screening. The buzz around the movie at the festival generated enough interest to get the attention of Netflix who are reported to have paid a massive  $17 million for worldwide rights to the movie.

Filmed in the Portland area in 2022, the dark comedy fits into the same genre as “Longlegs,” and “Strange Darling.” The movie “It’s What’s Inside,” streams on Netflix from Friday.
