George Knapp’s Investigation Alien on Netflix Has A Different Take On Cattle Mutilation in Eastern Oregon

Oregon’s infamous Bigfoot and D.B. Cooper are just two mysterious beings that sparked an intense interest in the unknown on TV with series like the Netflix revival of “Unsolved Mysteries.” One of the puzzles explored in that series was the case of ranchers in eastern Oregon.

A new Netflix series, “Investigation Alien” came to Oregon to speak to people about the mutilated bodies of cows and bulls they found. It seems they were killed under curious circumstances.

Featuring George Knapp, a broadcast journalist who covers paranormal stories- like the interviews that helped make the Area 51 military installation in Nevada a talking point among those who think it’s related to top-secret encounters with UFOs and extraterrestrials and other conspiracy buffs, the “Investigation Alien” features various strange encounters.

In one, Knapp cites recent Congressional hearings in which U.S. intelligence officials and authors alleged that we are not alone.

‘Investigation Alien’  kicks off with Knapp heading out to Oregon from his Los Angeles base to take a closer look at reports of cows and bulls found mutilated.

While the “Unsolved Mysteries” episode “Mysterious Mutilations” similarly featured interviews with Oregon ranchers who found dead cattle with blood drained, organs removed, and surgical-like cuts to the animals- with no signs of blood or nearby tracks, Knapp is accompanied by Douglas Laux, a former CIA case officer in the latest series.

They meet with Jeremiah Holmes of the Wheeler County Sheriff’s Office, who was also in the “Unsolved Mysteries” episode. Holmes confirmed that since 2019, there have been five cases of cattle mutilation in the area.

Laux heads to Burns, which he calls “not the easier town to get to, I’ll tell you that much,” to talk with Colby Marshall, a former ranch manager who points out the place where a mutilated animal was found. Bits of bone remain scattered around the site.

Knapp heads to Fossil to meet rancher David Hunt, who describes similar mutilation cases. Hunt said the mutilations coincided with the mysterious appearance of crop circles. His son also speaks of seeing what sounds like a UFO.

In other episodes of “Investigation Alien,” Knapp and his team look into more cases of possible alien activity and strange phenomena. The series streams on Netflix.

“The X-Files” agent Fox Mulder may also have said, we are not alone.
