Jackson County Sheriffs Arrest Suspect For Fire In Table Rock Road House

MEDFORD, Ore. — Following a fire in a vacant house at 4500 Table Rock Road in Medford,  68-year-old Andrew Joseph Ragsdale, a suspect who was at the scene at 12:16 p.m., has been arrested by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO).

House Fire On Table Rock Road

A grass fire spread to the vacant house and nearby vehicles on Table Rock Road, burning part of the house and a small boat. Staring on the back porch, Fire District 3 said the fire moved up the back wall and into the attic. The wind pushed it through the attic but the metal roof limited their access to the top.

The crew had to take a cautious approach because it’s a vacant building, and District 3 Fire Chief Will Klelland said, “We are not going to risk our firefighters’ safety too much.”

The Fire department stopped the fire by 1:18 p.m. and then mopped up the area. During the fire, Table Rock Road was closed from Biddle to Vilas.
