Josephine County Man Arrested Following Murder on November 22

JOSEPHINE COUNTY, Ore. — A man has been arrested in connection with the murder of Daniel Wayne Finney (34) on Grave Creek Road near milepost 7 in Josephine County on November 22.

Finney, from Wolf Creek, died on the scene from several stab wounds but was able to communicate with law enforcement officers before passing away, leading to the arrest of Keandra Demetrius Blanding (29).

Oregon State Police said the incident occurred at about 2 p.m. They confirmed that investigators gathered additional evidence on the scene before Blanding was identified as the primary suspect.

Police found Blanding’s vehicle at midnight. He was arrested an hour later and admitted to Josephine County Jail.

Blanding is charged with second-degree murder and the unlawful use of a weapon.
