KLAMATH COUNTY, Ore. — Urgent evacuation orders have been issued as the fast-moving wildfire named the Copperfield Fire has exploded in Klamath County. Residents in the affected areas have been notified of mandatory evacuation under the highest fire alert (GO NOW!) as the fire spreads from where it originated- east of Chiloquin.
Klamath County Evacuation Orders
The fire now covers 2,000 acres and while no Level 2 (BE SET) alerts are currently applicable, the following evacuation alerts have been issued by Klamath County officials:
- Level 1 (BE READY) evacuation orders for the following areas: KLU-E035B & KLU-E060E.
- Level 3 (GO NOW!) evacuation orders for the following areas: KLU-E062, KLU-E061, KLU-E063A-B, KLU-E063A-A, KLU-E064A, KLU-E073, and KLU-E111-B

Road Closures: Sprague River Road East of Chiloquin, from Lone Pine Road to Williamson River Road.

As of the latest reports, the Copperfield Fire has consumed approximately 2000 acres. Firefighters are actively working to contain the blaze- which now covers around 2,000 acres.
