ASHLAND, Ore. — Enjoy an eclectic mix of art, music, and taste at Ashland’s First Friday ArtWalk next Friday, November 1, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

You will experience a kaleidoscope of imagery to tempt the senses as you meander through the studios of Ashland’s historic Downtown and Railroad Districts.

Latin Sounds Will Set the Tone

Setting the tone for the evening will be the music duo of Dan Fellman and Grant Ruiz. This duo plays Latin music from Argentina, Brazil, Cuba, Mexico, and Spain. Adding to the mix will be several original compositions.

Oregonian ‘Wooliza’ is the Featured Artist

The featured artist in November is Liza Hamilton, aka ‘Wooliza,’ who lives on the Southern Oregon coast.

Liza’s tactile artworks can be viewed at her Shepherd’s Dream exhibition, 3 E Main St, and at the Columbia Hotel ‘s ‘The Future is Female’ group show, 42 E Main St.

Liza’s work brings the therapeutic qualities of the outdoors inside with her tactile pieces, inviting relaxation and reconnection.

Liza uses the art of tufting – rug-making techniques – to create her artworks from sustainable wool. Apart from rugs, her works include Cactus poufs, mushroom ottomans, sculptures, and wall hangings.
