Medford DUII Pick-up Truck Driver Hits Motorcyclist Causing Serious Injury
MEDFORD, Ore. — The Medford Police issued a news release confirming that a motorcyclist was struck by a pick-up truck on Sunday night in Medford. The motorcyclist was seriously injured and police arrested the pickup driver on DUII, assault, and other charges.
Motorcyclist Injured In Medford Collision
After entering the intersection of Table Rock Road and Berrydale Avenue on a green light on Sunday night, a motorcyclist was struck by a Toyota Tacoma that turned left in front of him.
The Medford Police and their Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction (STAR) Team responded to the emergency. The motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital after suffering serious injuries. The driver of the pickup showed signs of impairment.
The driver of the Toyota Tacoma was arrested and will face charges of DUII (Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants), assault in the second degree, reckless driving, and reckless endangerment.
The driver was subsequently lodged at the Jackson County Jail.
