Medford Manhunt: Adam Hausa Arrested After Armed Standoff Near McLoughlin Middle School

MEDFORD, Ore. — Following a report of a menacing with a handgun, the area around the 400 block of N. Grape St, Medford, was closed off yesterday as the Medford Police Department (MPD) attended the scene. By 6.30 pm, the suspect,  31-year-old Adam Hausa, had been arrested.

Police closed off the Grape Street area yesterday, and McLoughlin Middle School was briefly placed into a secure status out of an abundance of caution.

The public was advised to avoid the area as multiple police officers attended the incident, establishing a perimeter while actively working to communicate with the man.

Hausa was placed in custody less than an hour after police arrived and will be lodged on multiple charges, including menacing with a firearm. Roadways have reopened in the meantime.
