Medford Police Arrest Driver for DUII After Easter Monday Crash Injures Passengers at Stewart Avenue Intersection
MEDFORD, Ore. — Medford Police and Medford Fire, responding to a serious crash at the intersection of Stewart Avenue and Maple Grove Drive at about 1:44 a.m. on Easter Monday morning, came upon a vehicle with three occupants.
A male passenger with a leg injury had to be extracted from the car, and the driver, 29-year-old Alberto Perez De Gaona, was arrested on DUII and other charges.
A female passenger also received what is believed to be minor injuries, but the injured man was taken to Portland for further treatment. Medford’s Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction (STAR) Team is investigating.
The investigation is ongoing, but Perez De Gaona was lodged at the Jackson County Jail on charges of Assault II, Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants (DUII), Reckless Endangering x2, and Reckless Driving.
