Medford Police Arrest Six Shoplifters
MEDFORD, Ore. — A recent statement by the Medford Police Department (MPD) indicates that six people were arrested in a targeted retail theft enforcement operation last month. Partnering with Kohls, MPD proactively stopped theft.
A grant from the Oregon Criminal Justice Commission supported the detail. Aside from stopping shoplifters, the initiative encouraged and protected the retailer’s employees, demonstrating the importance of working with community partners in addressing retail theft.
MPD noted how difficult it is for employees to see thefts happening daily, with no one appearing to be held accountable.
The department confirmed that they take all levels of theft seriously. Any businesses who want to join these efforts can contact Lt. Don Lane at 541-774-2292.
