Medford Police Patrolman Discovers Man Stabbed at a Local Car Wash

MEDFORD, Ore — While on patrol early yesterday (Saturday) morning, a Medford Police Department (MPD) officer discovered a 44-year-old man who was stabbed at a car wash. He was admitted to a local hospital where his condition has been given as stable.

According to the police, a suspect fled the scene shortly before the arrival of the patrol officer at Delta Waters Car Wash on the intersection of Crater Lake Highway and Delta Waters Road.

The incident occurred at 6.10 a.m. The patrolman approached a suspicious vehicle and discovered a male occupant who had been assaulted with a knife.

 

Search for Suspect is Ongoing

Immediately after the discovery, the area was cordoned and a Jackson County Sheriff’s Deputy K-9 unit was deployed to the scene to assist in a search for the suspect. At the time of going to Press the search was ongoing and a MPD detective interviewed potential witnesses.

Police believe the victim and the suspect knew one another and are investigating the possibility that the stabbing followed a disagreement. However, no details about the identity or a description of the suspect have been released.

The attack is an ongoing investigation. The police will release more details as the investigation proceeds.
