Oregon Drug Ring Cracked by Narcotics Investigators
An extensive investigation by the Street Crimes Unit (SCU) of the Eugene Police Department (EPD), assisted by narcotics investigators, ended on Monday with multiple arrests and the seizure of cash, drugs, and a firearm.
Interagency Teams Seized Drugs, Cash, Firearms, and Manufacturing Paraphernalia
The investigation began last month when investigators of the Douglas Interagency Narcotics Team (DINT) saw a suspect enter and then leave a residence in the 2700 block of Elysium Avenue.
They followed the suspect and, after pulling him over in Douglas county, seized two pounds of suspected methamphetamine.
Further investigation led to the SCU team issuing three warrants of arrest in Lane County on Monday.
In the first warrant, $16,000 in cash, 500 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 250 grams of suspected heroin, packaging materials, and scales were seized in the 1800 block of M Street in Springfield.
SCU officers arrested Heather Lee Brown (39) who has been charged with the unlawful delivery and possession of heroin and methamphetamine, and two counts of first-degree child neglect.
Andrew George Solomon Arrested
The second warrant was served at the initial police surveillance location in Elysium where a search uncovered Avenue cash and 100 grams of magic mushrooms (psilocybin).
Police arrested Andrew George Solomon (40) who has been charged with the unlawful delivery of meth and the unlawful possession of psilocybin.
An ongoing investigation of Solomon includes several additional charges, including the unlawful manufacture of meth, cocaine, heroin, and MDMA. Other charges include first-degree child neglect and the illegal possession of a firearm.
Stephen Scott Rochelle and Tina LouAnn Rochelle Referred to Lane County Circuit Court
The third warrant resulted in the seizure of four pounds of suspected meth, two pounds of suspected MDMA, and one pound each of cocaine and heroin.
The search was conducted in the 300 block of Rutledge Street, Eugene, at a property believed to be a drug stash house. Officers also seized seven firearms, packaging materials, and scales.
Police confirmed that two other suspects were referred to Lane County Circuit Court on drug-related charges. They are Stephen Scott Rochelle (62) and Tina LouAnn Rochelle.
The couple is charged with the unlawful possession of meth and cocaine, and conspiracy to commit the unlawful manufacture and delivery of heroin, cocaine, MDMA, and meth.
