Going into West Lafayette, the Ducks scored easily on their first three possessions and never let up defensively. Ranked 2 in the nation, the Ducks didn’t rest on their reputation and delivered many highlights during the game:

  • Five touchdowns from the Ducks were surpassed by the defense. Freshman quarterback Ryan Browne completed just 9-of-19 passes for 93 yards on the night while Matayo Uiagalelei- the Ducks Wire Player of the Game, made three tackles, two tackles for loss, and one sack. Teitum Tuioti finished with a team-high six tackles and one tackle for loss.
  • Quarterback Austin Novosad replaced Dante Moore on the night and other impressive up-and-coming players on the field were:
  • Jay Harris at Running Back: 7 rushes, 32 yards, 1 touchdown
  • Jayden Limar at Running Back: 3 rushes, 20 yards
  • Jeremiah McClellan at Wide Receiver: 1 catch, 12 yards
  • Kam Alexander at Cornerback: 1 tackle, 1 interception
  • Evan Stewart’s rise over the last two weeks continued with four catches for 96 yards. He was popular in the deep passing game, including a 49-yard bomb from Gabriel down the right sideline that set up the first touchdown.
  • With Terrance Ferguson temporarily out of action after his appendix was removed last week, Kenyon Sadiq stepped up, catching two passes for 58 yards. He may not have Ferguson’s size, but he is fast and shifts through defenders—unlike the others.
