Oregon Man Found Guilty Of Murder in the 2017 Xpose Club Incident
Jimmy Travon Pierce was found guilty of second-degree murder by a Washington County jury on Wednesday.
The charge arose from a shooting outside the Xpose club on Southwest Canyon Road in the early morning of May 19, 2017, in which 36-year-old Ramon Harris of Portland died.
Xpose Club Shooting Trial Ends In Guilty Verdict
Police indicated that Pierce appeared to have targeted Harris of Portland, shooting him outside the club and from the street near Southwest 103rd Avenue, causing multiple gunshot wounds, which led to Harris’ death.
The incident unfolded as a party bus with about 20 people arrived at the club, and prosecutors said the shooting was gang-related. Both men had ties to Portland criminal gangs.
Pierce was also found guilty of first-degree attempted murder for targeting a second victim, Robert Nelson, who dived behind parked vehicles to avoid being shot. Spent shell casings at the scene were also linked to a separate shooting in Southeast Portland six days earlier.
Pending sentencing- which prosecutors anticipate early in 2025, Pierce remains in jail without bail in Washington County.
