Oregon Man Says He Suffered ‘Depression, Sadness and Pain’ Because his Sister was Poisoning Him

A 34-year-old Oregon man accused of stabbing his sister to death with a hunting knife says he suffered from ‘depression, sadness and pain’ because she had been poisoning him for years.

Court Appearance Today Charged with First-Degree Murder

The killing of 36-year-old Diane Robinson led to the arrest of her brother, Dwayne Robinson of Clark County, who is charged with first-degree murder and has been held in custody without bail while the case is under investigation.

He will appear in court at 3 p.m. today (Monday) September 23.

According to court records, at 11.30 p.m. on Wednesday September 18, deputies from the Clark County Sheriff’s office responded to a call from Diane Robinson’s former husband, Kenneth Leachman who went to the 7500 block of Northeast 123rd rd Court, Orchards, the home shared by the siblings.

Leachman told the deputies that he had decided to visit his ex-wife as he had not heard from her for several days. He told the deputies that on his arrival at her home, Dwayne Robinson had told him that he had killed his sister.

The deputies surrounded the property, but Dwayne Robinson at once surrendered and, upon entering the property, the deputies discovered the body of Diane Robinson in the kitchen. She was covered by a blanket.

According to the court documents, Dwayne Robinson told the deputies that his sister had been poisoning him for years and as a result he suffered from ‘depression, sadness and pain.’

Dwayne Robinson told police that on around Sunday September 15 he found his sister in the kitchen where she was eating a meal. He stabbed her with a hunting knife in the chest four times before she fell to the floor and died. He then covered her with a blanket and proceeded to eat her food ‘because it wasn’t poisoned.’

The case is under investigation by the Major Crimes Unit of the Sheriff’s Office.

Dwayne Robinson will be appearing in court today (Monday) at 3 p.m.
