Oregon Man Sentenced to 10 Years in Jail: Prosecutors Suspect His Younger Brother Pulled the Trigger

Keyshawn Pervish (23) of Portland has been sentenced to 10 years in jail for the killing of a 17-year-old youth, and prosecutors suspect that it was his younger brother who pulled the trigger.

Pervish pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter for the death of Sergio Hunt in 2021.

Hunt Became Annoyed When Pervish Paid Attention to His Girlfriend

According to court records, Pervish and his younger brother Omarion Pervish (20) were visiting Hunt at his girlfriend’s apartment. Hunt became annoyed when Keyshawn Pervish paid his girlfriend special attention, according to an affidavit by detectives.

The three friends sorted out the problem and later that evening went out in Hunt’s Audi sedan. Hunt was found dead the following morning.

He had been shot with a bullet fired from his handgun, and his body had been run over by a vehicle on Northeast Milton Street, in the Argay Terrace neighborhood.

Although it is not known what happened while the three young men were in the car, prosecutors suspect that the trigger was pulled by Pervish’s younger brother, Omarion, who has been receiving psychiatric treatment in the Oregon State Hospital since 2023.

Omarion has entered a plea of not guilty to a first-degree murder charge.
