Former Girlfriend Locked Herself in the Bathroom

The incident occurred on Monday when his ex-girlfriend phoned 911, saying that Kenneth Ranck-Calderon (39) was in her yard and that she had locked herself in the bathroom.

According to court documents, Ranck-Calderon realized he needed tools to break into the property. He then attempted to steal tools from a nearby property, but the owner caught him and threatened him with a pistol.

A scuffle ensued and Ranck-Calderon managed to break free and run away with a power tool.

The property owner contacted the police, telling them that his assailant was in a car heading up the road. The police, aware of the restraining order, immediately rushed to the scene during which time the girlfriend made the call to 911.

On arrival, the police found Ranck-Calderon standing alongside his car, looking at the front door. He had parked his vehicle diagonally across his former girlfriend’s garage to block an escape.

Court records state that Ranck-Calderon admitted to the theft of the power tool which he said he had to use because his ex-girlfriend needed help.

He was arrested and faces charges of first-degree attempted burglary, second-degree burglary, and disorderly conduct.
