2 Oregon Men Arrested Following A Police Car Chase And A Road Rage Shooting Incident
A road rage incident in Dundee on Sunday night ended after a shooting, a police car chase, and a multiple-car crash in which a bystander was injured.
William Gabrielsen And Neo Gabrielsen Were Arrested
Two men were arrested after shooting at a car and then fleeing from the police in what has been described as an apparent incident of road rage.
According to the Newberg-Dundee Police Department, the driver, William Gabrielsen (43), and passenger Neo Gabrielsen (20), both of Hillsboro, were arrested and charged.
Police responded to a call about a road rage shooting near the intersection of 11th Street and Highway 99 West in Dundee.
Police said officers attempted to stop a car, matching the description given by the caller, that was speeding through downtown Newberg.
However, the driver did not stop, and a car chase ensued before the vehicle driven by the suspects crashed into cars parked in the 1100 block of North Meridian Street, seriously injuring a 47-year-old man who was sitting inside one of the parked vehicles.
Police Took Possession of Multiple Firearms
Police took possession of multiple firearms inside the suspects’ vehicle and placed both men under arrest.
According to the police, Gabrielsen Snr. Is charged with third-degree assault, two counts of a felon in possession of a firearm, possession of a stolen vehicle, the unauthorized use of a vehicle, and failure to take care of injured person.
Gabrielsen Jnr. Is facing charges of the unlawful use of a weapon, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, and hindering prosecution.
