Oregon Nurse’s Blood Alcohol Hits 3x Legal Limit After Work, Lands Third DUII Arrest in a Year
SPRINGFIELD, Ore. — A registered Springfield nurse, 39-year-old Jesse Flannery, was charged with felony DUII after allegedly leaving the PeaceHealth Riverbend hospital- where he worked at the time, visibly intoxicated in February. This is his third arrest in a year.
The court records indicate that after a hospital guard noticed a visibly intoxicated Flannery leaving work, Springfield Police Department (SPD) officers were contacted shortly after midnight on February 22.
When the responding SPD officer visited Flannery’s house in the Thurston area, he spoke to him in his car as he arrived home.
While Flannery admitted to having one drink, court records indicate his blood alcohol level tested at over three times the legal limit.
Flannery’s driver’s license had previously been suspended following a misdemeanor conviction for DUII, but as the February arrest was his third DUII in a year, he was arraigned on March 17 on charges of felony DUII and misdemeanor driving with a suspended license. He is no longer employed at Riverbend.
