  • Despite being backed against the wall, Nevada’s amazing running game included a nine-play 75-yard drive with seven runs, including Red’s massive effort carrying tacklers into the end zone to claw the home team within three.
  • The Beaver’s next drive got help from back-to-back penalties by Nevada defensive backs, but on third & long Wolfpack Michael Coats Jr stepped in front of a throw meant for Walker, securing Nevada’s second interception.
  • Nevada’s electric running shocked the Beavers defense who responded quickly but without putting much on the board. As time ran down, McCoy’s prayer to the end zone went unanswered as Coates Jr caught his second pick of the night.
