Oregon State Police Investigate Deputy Shooting Suspect Who Rammed Patrol Vehicle
JOSEPHINE COUNTY, Ore. — The Oregon State Police (OSP) is investigating an incident of Tuesday, April 22, near the O’Brien Country Store in O’Brien, when a Josephine County Sheriff’s Office Deputy fired at 33-year-old Clinten Anthony Robertson, a wanted suspect with a felony warrant,
Robertson, a Grants Pass resident, evaded the deputy and used his vehicle to ram the deputy’s vehicle just after noon, resulting in an officer-involved shooting.
During the incident, Robertson was struck by gunfire and taken to Three Rivers Hospital in Grants Pass for medical treatment. No injuries to bystanders or law enforcement were reported.
OSP is leading the investigation as part of the Josephine County Major Crime Team, which also includes the Josephine County District Attorney’s Office, the Grants Pass Police Department, and the Josephine County Sheriff’s Office.
They indicated that no further details will be released at this time.
