Oregon Teenager, Marshall Hansen, Arrested for Three Gunpoint Robberies
Within 50 minutes, a teenager robbed three people at gunpoint in separate incidents in Portland during the early hours of Saturday morning.
Nineteen-year-old Marshall J. Hansen was arrested by police after a chase through the streets of Portland and taken to the Multnomah County Detention Center. Police took possession of a silver revolver, a red mask, and items linked to the robberies in the suspect’s vehicle.
Hansen is charged with three counts of first-degree robbery, three counts of second-degree robbery, and attempting to elude the police.
A Timeline of the Robberies
The timeline of Hansen’s alleged three robberies is reported as follows:
4.36 a.m. – police officers responded to a call of an armed robbery near Northeast 134th Avenue and Northeast Powell Boulevard. Upon arrival, a deputy was told that the victim had been robbed at gunpoint while sleeping in his car. The victim said he woke up when his car door was opened, and a man, fitting Hansen’s description, used a racist slur and said, ‘Give me all of your stuff.’
5.12 a.m. – another police officer responded after a report that a man sitting in a truck was robbed at gunpoint. He told police he was smoking a cigarette and drinking coffee on Southeast 109th Avenue when Hansen allegedly opened the truck door, threatened him with a revolver, and demanded money or he would shoot him.
5.24 a.m. – the third victim was walking near Northeast Schuyler Street and Northeast 92nd Avenue when he saw a red vehicle approaching. He said the robber threatened him with a gun after jumping out of the car.
No one was hurt in the incidents.
