Oregon’s Tri-City Woman Arrested in Major Drug and Firearm Seizure Operation
Douglas Interagency Narcotics Team (DINT) detectives, assisted by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office and Myrtle Creek Police, arrested 35-year-old Joanna Johnson of Tri-City and seized drugs and a firearm on Wednesday, at approximately 2:30 PM.
The arrest is the culmination of the investigation into multiple suspected cocaine sales in the Tri-City area.
Tri-City Woman Arrested On Drug Charges
Police executed a search warrant at Johnson’s residence in the 100 block of N. Old Pacific Hwy in Myrtle Creek (Tri-City) after establishing evidence of drug sales.
During the execution of the warrant, detectives found around an ounce of suspected cocaine, 477 dosage units of Alprazolam (also known as Xanax), and a small amount of suspected DMT. An AK-47-style rifle was also seized during the exercise.
At the same time, Johnson was arrested and lodged at the Douglas County Jail.
She is facing multiple counts of Unlawful Possession and Manufacture and Delivery of a Schedule II Controlled Substance, with one count of Unlawful Possession of a Schedule IV Controlled Substance.
