High Winds And Snow Forecast In Oregon Saturday And Sunday

Pacific Power’s meteorology team’s weather forecast includes a potential for high winds and snow from Saturday night into Sunday.

As the storms may cause power outages, the team closely monitors the weather, and crews are on standby and ready to respond to weather-related outages.

Pacific Power and state and local emergency management organizations recommend Oregonians have an emergency plan that will cover them when there are no essential services for up to 72 hours. To be prepared for storm-related outages:

  • Update your contact information so Pacific Power can reach you.
  • Sign up for the Pacific Power free app to get outage alerts by text, email, or phone.
  • Restock outage kits.
  • Keep mobile devices charged so they can be ready to use in an emergency.
  • Track outages, update contact info, and use the Pacific Power free app, which offers many other features.
  • To report an outage, call 911 and also report to Pacific Power at 1-877-508-5088.
  • Please stay away from all downed power and utility lines, which could be energized and extremely dangerous, even when they are not sparking.
  • Steer clear of downed trees and power lines, and keep pets far away.
